Guess what Echo lost a tail :[. Why it is a mystery here is what happened. Me and my mom where cleaning his cage big time. We had got new ground covering and we cleaned his decorations we did every thing . Since Echo can't be in the tank when we are cleaning my dad held Echo. When we where cleaning my dad said that Echo was jittery and doing weird jumps well my dad normally holds echo so you think he would not be stressed . All of the sudden his tail pops of on to the ground! It scared me so bad. I asked my dad if  he had touched Echos tail at all he said "no" . So the mystery is still not solved why did Echo decide to just pop his tail.

Hey found out Echo is a girl so this blog post is how to tell if your crested gecko is a girl or a boy first you take a look at where their tail is and you look for a bulge if your crested gecko dose not have the bulge they are a girl if they do have the bulge they are a boy

This might be my last post before the holidays

This post is about crested gecko basics 


Crested Geckos do NOT like to be held and when they get scared they poop it is normal for poop to be white with some brown most crested geckos are also very jumpy they will jump from at lease 5 feet down as I
 said in my first post crested geckos love crickets but you should not feed them to much 12 a week is good a other thing you should know is crested geckos lose there tails if it is caught in any thing and they can not grow it back if they lose there tail like most lizards can http://www.pangeareptile.com/store/crested-gecko-care-sheet-en.html this wed site has tons of information

Cage

You need a 10 gallon cage if you have a baby crested gecko have a smaller cage cause if the cage is to big the baby will not eat 

You might want to have lots plants fake of course 

you also want a light as in the picture of the cage 

for the ground covering you can get them in brick shape 

when closing cage doors make sure the tail is not caught when they lose there tail they can not grow it back  

you need a water bowl and food bowl  

if there is any thing else you want to know just ask me 

Me and Echo

This first blog so I wanted to tell you about me and my crested gecko Echo. I first got Echo in October 2014 he was my friend before. She was giving him away because she felt that she was not taking care of him well enough. 

About Echo: she dose not like being held. She love love loves crickets so much (he bit my finger one time cause he thought it was a cricket do not worry it dose not hurt). She is a really good hunter. She stays in one place for a long time. 



About me: My favorite color is neon Green. Of course my favorite word is Awpic I made it up. name is Ella. I am 10 almost 11 years old.
